Common Questions

Find answers to frequently asked questions about counseling and mental performance consulting for teams and athletes.

What does a typical sports psychology consultation look like?

Short answer: it depends. Sessions focus on identifying mental barriers, developing actionable mindset strategies, and integrating resilience tools into your daily training and performance. They can incorporate whole teams, coaching staff, or individuals.

Is telehealth as effective as in-person?

Yes. Telehealth provides the flexibility for people to connect from their comfortable environment, ensuring consistency in counseling and mental training regardless of team travel or remote locations throughout Colorado.

How long should I expect to stay in consulting or counseling?

Consulting is highly individualized. Some athletes and teams find value in short-term skill building for 8-12 weeks, while others prefer ongoing support throughout an entire competitive season. In counseling, every person is different, but the goal of therapy is to no longer need it one day. Whatever pace that means for you is the pace we will go.

Can mental training help with injury recovery?

Absolutely. We focus on the psychological aspects of physical rehabilitation, maintaining motivation, and building the confidence needed for a successful return to the court.
